Alessandra Ruiz is a bicoastal first-gen Cuban-American actress who was born in NJ, but raised in Los Angeles, CA. She has returned to the east coast to pursue theatre in NYC. She has a B.A. in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Physical Theatre from California State University, Fullerton. Alessandra has trained with Frantic Assembly for devised

and physical theatre work and she is an alum of

The Atlantic Acting School's Summer Intensive

Program 2023. She is a member of INTAR

Theatre's UNIT 52 ensemble.

Alessandra's passion for theatre comes from the need for representation in the arts. As she fell in

love with performing as a child, she didn't see much of herself or her people reflected in media. As a Latine actress, she wants to give a voice to her community.  Alessandra believes theatre is a powerful art form that can truly help make a

change. She loves the stage, but also has passions and works in film/tv, voiceover, and educational theatre for kids. She works with Family Life

Theatre, a company that focuses on using theatre

to teach S.E.L. (social emotional learning) for students in all boroughs of NYC. Alessandra

also teaches musical theatre to elementary

students with Inside Broadway.
